Elena's Children's Literature Blog

Reading with a Smile

a. Who is your target audience? Why is this group your target audience? My target audiences are children and parents who like to enjoy a good story with great illustrations. Parents and children can both benefit from each other. Parent can read to their children and help them with their vocabulary sound and visual development skills. Also, they will be spending quality time together.
b. What strategies will you use to help your target audience to access your blog? Why would you use those strategies?  In order to promote my blog I would use listserv and organizations that I belong to. Listserv is a great tool to introduce ideas and also to promote different services such as my blog. The organizations that I belong to will also help me introduce my blog. This can be done by word of mouth during the organizations meetings or via email. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter is another tool that I will use to promote my blog. Fellow librarians, friends and family can benefit from my blog because they will be introduced to children's literature.  Sending emails to my contacts such as librarians, educators and parents is another way of promoting my blog.
c. How will you continue to contribute to the knowledge in the field of children's literature?  I would keep reading children's book reviews to become more knowledgeable in the field.  Analyzing children's books and interacting with children will make me a better children's librarian.
