Hands-on Learning Component:
Supplies Needed: paper lunch bag; crayons; cut outs of template arms, eyes, and tongue; glue
Steps To Make a Paper Frog Puppet
1. color the side of a paper lunch bag that folds green
2. glue one end of the tongue under the fold
3. using a crayon, roll the bottom of the tongue upwards
4. glue on the arms to each side of the bag
5. glue on the eyes as shown, at the top part of the bag
Caregiver Involvement and/or ECRR2 Family Education:
When the parents participate and are involved in the Storytime songs and activities, their children are more likely to enjoy the program and participate as well. Also, children often learn words better when they are sung because singing the words goes slower than simply speaking the words, giving the children more time to absorb the sounds and meaning.
