a. Who is your target audience? Why is this group your target audience?

This blog is intended for primarily for teachers and librarians, but is open to all who enjoy children's literature. As it offers critical analysis and suggested activities and similar titles, this blog is perfect for those wishing to explore children's literature more deeply. As I live and work in a college town with a large education department, there are many teachers and other education students who could benefit greatly from the local librarian's contemplations on children's literature. |
| b. What strategies would you use to help your target audience to access your blog? Why would you use those strategies? |
This blog would make a great enhancement to my library's website, specifically in the children's section. Adding the blog to the library's Facebook feed would also greatly aid in reaching my targeted audience. Additionally, marketing the blog specifically to the education and library science departments at Sam Houston State University could also make the blog a great networking tool for future partnerships and perhaps increase the library presence within that particular community. |
| c. How will you continue to contribute to the knowledge in the field of children's literature? |
As I encounter more quality literature, both new and classic, I would like to enhance this simple collection of critical analysis of children's literature into a library of resources for teachers and librarians. I would also like to somehow branch out to parents and young readers who may not be as interested in the critical analysis, but enjoy discovering new literary adventures. I plan to invite other readers to review and add their own contemplations to this blog. |
