Leah Oswald's Children's Literature Blog Page
Engaging Picture Books Blog
a. Who is your target audience? Why is this group your target audience?
The target audience of my blog is the parents and caregivers of young children, as well as anyone interested in early childhood literacy education and enrichment. The books reviewed are award-winning picture books that will engage young children, and the reviews are written for adults who will be reading to young children. |
b. What strategies would you use to help your target audience to access your blog? Why would you use those strategies?
I would use professional networking and social media to help my target audience to access my blog. I would use these strategies because I feel that by using professional networking to create partnerships with schools, early learning centers, and other groups or institutions who provide early literacy programs for young children, I can best reach my target audience. Social media platforms provide a way to connect information with a target audience.
c. How will you continue to contribute to the knowledge in the field of children's literature?
I will continue to consult my mentor about emerging children's literature, network with classmates and librarians, read professional journals and children's literature blogs to stay informed of engaging books for early childhood literacy to be able to share them with the parents and caregivers of young children.
