Story Explore: Books for Families
a. Who is your target audience? Why is this group your target audience?
My target audience are families who are looking to share stories that can be enjoyed by parents and kids alike. I chose families as my target audience because reading stories aloud is a key element of childhood literacy that also allows families to learn and to connect together.
b. What strategies would you use to help your target audience to access your blog? Why would you use those strategies?
I would employ social media as well as the help of willing educators to help reach my target audience. Through blogs, Facebook, Pinterest, twitter and listserves I will reach families that are connected to the internet, and through cooperation with local educators I would endeavor to reach families that are without reliable internet connections.
c. How will you continue to contribute to the knowledge in the field of children's literature?
I will continue to contribute to children's literacy by promoting story based discussion for families that help parents and children connect and help new readers learn.
