Being able to guide young children toward literacy while working as a Children’s Assistant in the Saginaw Public Library is a blessing! Literacy opens the doors of success and makes children’s lives much easier, rewarding, and fun. What could be better than that?

I have worked at the John Ed Keeter Public Library of Saginaw for a year and a half, teaching Homeschool Friday Fundays, coordinating crafts, hosting various programs and outreach events, assisting with Storytime, and encouraging children of all ages, shapes, sizes, and colors to enjoy the library with all it has to offer. I have also had the recent honor of being nominated to join the NTLC Cataloging Committee as the Saginaw Children’s Cataloger.
